I’m Jamie, the founder and principal designer of In Between the Detail. I studied Interior Design at Indiana University Bloomington through the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design, earning a CIDA accredited Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. After graduating, I moved to Chicago and have spent the past decade designing here.

My background spans furniture, architecture, and real estate. Working in furniture gave me a deep understanding of materials and craftsmanship, while my time at an architecture and design firm grounded me in building codes and technical design. Most recently, I served as the sole in house designer for a real estate company overseeing more than 50 properties. That range of experience ultimately led me to start my own studio.

Today, I create layered, thoughtful interiors that balance old and new and feel deeply personal to the people who live in them.
